Classroom:Fasnacht earned her bachelor's degree in sport management in just three years with a 3.89 GPA. She is currently working toward an MBA. Fasnacht has made the Dean's List every semester at Liberty and is a three-time Big South Presidential Honor Roll honoree. Last season, she was an ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District first-team selection. She also helped the Lady Flames record a team GPA of 3.508 in 2006-07, ranking No. 7 in the nation among NCAA Division I women's basketball teams. As a sophomore, Fasnacht won Big South All-Academic Team recognition.
Character:Fasnacht was voted a team captain by her teammates this season. She and her teammates pray with their opponents at center court after every game, win or lose. She has led by example throughout her career, with her hard work on the court and in the classroom. During her sophomore year, she played on a team without a single senior on the roster, which lost its leading scorer and rebounder to injury at midseason. Fasnacht led the team through adversity, to a 10th-consecutive Big South title and an NCAA Tournament appearance.
Competition:Fasnacht has helped Liberty go 70-25 during her three years with the team. She has been a part of two teams that have captured Big South championships (2004-05 and 2005-06) and one (2004-05) which reached the "Sweet 16" of the NCAA Tournament. As a sophomore, Fasnacht was a first-team All-Big South performer and was the MVP of the Big South Tournament. She hit the shot which sealed Liberty's victory over High Point in the championship game of the conference tournament that season. As a freshman, Fasnacht made the Big South All-Freshman team. The best performance of her rookie year was an 18-point, three-assist effort in Liberty's first-round NCAA Tournament win over Penn State.
