Character:Leasure plays the game with heart and class, never drawing a technical foul. A student of the game, he has a work ethic that is beyond compare at CCU. Win or lose, he has always handled himself and represented Coastal Carolina with the utmost dignity and class.
Competition:A three-year starter for the Chanticleers, Leasure has broken numerous three-point records in CCU history (single game, single-season and career), as well as entering the season ranking seventh in all-time scoring with 1,429 points. He has led CCU to two straight .500 or better seasons for the first time in 13 years as well as a berth in the Big South Conference Tournament championship game in 2006. He was the Big South Conference Player of the Year and first-team selection in 2006 (17.8 ppg), avsecond-team honoree in 2007 and the league's Freshman of the Year in 2005. He led the Big South and was second in Division I with 4.17 three-pointers per game (125 total) and finished 25th nationally in three-point field goal percentage at 41.9 percent in 2006.
