Classroom:Carroll has been very productive in the classroom during his four years at Utah State and is on course to graduate from USU in the spring of 2008 with a bacehlor's degree in Spanish.
Character:As good of a basketball player as Carroll is, he is a better person. He has grown into a leader while at Utah State and provides an outstanding example for his teammates and peers when it comes to sportsmanship on the court and humility off the court. According to his coaches, the best way to describe his character is to say that he is someone you would want your own son to model themselves after.
Competition:Carroll is without a doubt one of the most competitive players in collegiate basketball and that desire to win is very evident on the court. He is perhaps the best conditioned athlete in college basketball and also one of the hardest workers. He is a self-made basketball player and he attributes all of his success on the court to his work ethic, determination and tough-minded nature. Heading into his senior year, Carroll is tabbed as the preseason Western Athletic Conference player of the year. As a junior, he averaged 21.3 points per game. He was a first-team all-WAC selection as a junior and also made the conference all-tournament team. As a freshman, he was the Big West freshman of the year and tournament MVP. Entering his final season, he is first all-time at Utah State in three-point shooting percentage at 45.2 percent. He is seventh all-time in scoring with 1,737 career points.
